I’m Marie from Ramblings of a Daydreamer. I’m an avid reader, and also a writer. My first YA novel, Blue Sky Days, will be out in early 2012. When I’m not writing, you can most likely find me reading, and I love all things YA – romance, fantasy, urban fantasy, paranormal, dystopian, mystery, chick lit, you name it. I read and review both new and older releases – I like to spread the book love around! I participate in many weekly book memes, host author guest posts, interviews, giveaways, and occasionally co-host blog tours, and I also blog about my writing and my journey to publication.

Let The Words Flow is a writers blog made up of FictionPress.com alumni. Ms. B's Book Swarm

Hi! I've been a blogger since April 2008 (http://marybrebner.blogspot.com/) and recently created a blog called Ms. B's Book Swarm dedicated to book reviews and other book-related posts. Book Swarm is mainly a young adult and middle grade book review blog with some other genres thrown in for good measure.

I am not be the only person reviewing books on this blog. As an 8th grade English teacher in South Carolina as well as a book blogger and YA writer, I have the opportunity to solicit opinions from teen readers. My students are guest bloggers, reviewing ARCs, new books, books of their choice, and teacher-assigned books. Guest reviewers range in age from 6th grade through high school (approximately 12-17 years old).

Besides reviews, I love to interview authors, though I lean towards more informal and uncommon questions (the more unusual questions tend to come from my students, as they are interested in both how the author wrote the book as well as the author as a person).

The Snappy Dragon

The Snappy Dragon lives in a cave somewhere off the coast of a pretty island. Frequents old baroque castles as haunts as well, and counts the Loch Ness Monster as a trusted confidante. A student majoring in English & Psychology. A writer, a poet. The Girdle of Melian

Blog bio: I am a writer living in Montreal, Canada and Istanbul, Turkey. I've just completed my latest young adult novel The Face of A Lion, described as follows:

Austin is a typical twelve year old with too much time on his hands – bored with his parents, bored with the rustic Turkish village they’ve hauled him off to – he’s longing for something, anything, to happen. His wish is granted when he meets Kedi. Excitement, adventure, even a little danger, abound. Austin should be delighted, but something’s not quite right. Kedi is a cat. A talking cat. A talking, time-travelling cat, who whisks Austin back in time to Ephesus, nearly 2,000 years ago, where Austin faces the biggest challenge of his life.
Austin makes a fierce enemy in Lady Porphyry, an evil spirit masquerading as a noble woman, who is bent on changing the course of history, so that civilization as Austin knows it never comes to exist. Austin finds that he and Kedi are all that stand between two possible futures, and now his own life depends on every move he makes in the past. Can he come up with a plan to save history, and himself?

I am currently seeking an agent, and have begun two new novels! Another young adult novel, this one set in 1492, and an adult murder mystery, set in the 1920s. The blog chronicles my writing journey, as well as the books I'm reading, writers' tips, and travels.

The First Novels Club

Bio: The First Novels Club follows four aspiring writers as they write, read, network, and navigate the rest of life --- FNC Style.
